True
charity is backed by energy, creativity, and imagination. It is more
than simply giving money, and should not be given in response to
manipulation. There are many worthwhile charitable endeavors to which you
can dedicate your time, but I challenge you to prioritize.
You can give an organization a gift of $100, yet
still accomplish very little. Or, you can spend very little, and use your
time and energy to help develop the basic infrastructure of the world.
This could benefit thousands of charities, and could have a sizeable impact
on the global economy. This could also lead to increased spending on
medical research, and would result in many cumulative benefits.
I challenge you to use your mind to its maximum
potential, and in doing so, make a measurable impact on the quality of life
worldwide. You don’t have to sell anything. You don’t have to
ask anyone for money.
I challenge you to say no to the people who
manipulate you, hoping to gain your time or financial backing. There
is a far more enlightened way to have a positive impact on society.
There is a time and a place for giving, but there should be thought and
judgment behind it.
True charity begins with enlightenment. It
begins by unmasking your societies' - and your own - unproductive mental
processes.
